Norris Law
A family law firm in Tallahassee that needed a site as steady as the advice they give: clear, quick, and easy to trust from a phone in a parking lot.
The brief
Most people who land on a family law site are not browsing at leisure. They are worried, they are usually on a phone, and they want to know inside a few seconds that this is a real firm that handles their kind of case and will pick up when they call. The site had to say that plainly and then get out of the way.
What I built
A small set of pages custom-built in HTML and CSS, with no theme, page builder, or plugin stack underneath. Practice areas sit up front in plain language rather than legal boilerplate, and the phone number and contact form are never more than a tap away at any screen size. Type and spacing do the work instead of decoration, which is a large part of why it stays quick.
Getting found
Google Business Profile set up and tidied, structured data added so search engines read the firm and its practice areas correctly, and Search Console connected before launch rather than months after it, so anything Google objects to surfaces while it’s still cheap to fix.
How it performs
Static files on a global CDN with SSL, self-hosted fonts, and no third-party JavaScript on the page beyond the bot check on the contact form. Pages land in a second or two on a phone connection, and the layout was designed from the smallest screen up rather than squeezed down from a desktop mockup.
Since launch
The site is hosted, backed up daily, and monitored, all on the one flat monthly plan. Text and photo changes come to me by email and are usually live the same day. There’s no admin panel for anyone to log into, and nothing waiting to be patched on a Tuesday afternoon.
