What if I want to cancel? +
Email us. We transfer your domain back to your registrar and waive any future fees. Plan A (outright) clients already own the source code. Plan B (subscription) clients earn full source code ownership after 18 continuous months — if you cancel before that, the site comes down but your domain and content remain yours. No exit clause, no awkward retention call.
Do I own my domain and content? +
Always. Your domain stays registered in your account, not ours. We just point the DNS records. Plan A clients receive the full source repo on delivery. Plan B subscribers earn code ownership after 18 months of continuous service — at that point the repo is yours outright.
What if I need a change at 9pm on a Tuesday? +
Email the developer directly — that's me, not a ticketing system. Routine copy and image edits go live within 24 hours, usually the same evening. Larger structural changes get a written turnaround date before any work starts.
Can you build a WordPress site if I need one? +
Yes — if your business genuinely requires a CMS with multiple authors, frequent self-service publishing, or a plugin ecosystem, we can build on WordPress. But for most small businesses, we strongly recommend our static approach: it's faster, cheaper to maintain, and has a smaller attack surface. We'll give you an honest assessment of which approach fits your situation best.
What if Capital City Computing stops existing? +
Your site is plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript — no proprietary platform to disappear. Plan A clients and vested Plan B subscribers (18+ months) already own the source and can host it anywhere: Cloudflare Pages, Netlify, Vercel, your nephew's home server. There is no platform to be locked into, even by us.
Do you do e-commerce, booking, or contact forms? +
Yes — wired to specialized services that do those things well. Stripe Checkout for payments, Cal.com or SimplyBook for appointments, Formspree or our own serverless endpoint for forms. Purpose-built tools instead of all-in-one plugins.
I already have a website. Should I switch? +
Run yours through
PageSpeed Insights. If you're scoring under 90 on mobile, your visitors are leaving before your hero image loads, and Google knows. We'll do the audit free and tell you honestly whether a rebuild is worth the spend in your case.
Are you really one developer? +
Yes. That's the entire pitch. You get the same person on the discovery call, in the design, in the code, on the email when something needs fixing. No account managers, no offshore contractors, no "let me check with the team." It's why turnaround is fast and the work is consistent.
