Whitehall Student Apartments
Furnished student housing a short walk from FSU. In development now, with a staging link that updates daily and a launch that waits on the client, not on me.
The brief
Student housing gets searched for in bursts. A parent and a student open the same page from different cities and want the same handful of answers quickly: what it costs, what comes with the unit, how far the walk to campus really is, and how to arrange a look around. Anything that slows those answers down costs a tour.
Where it stands
The design direction is chosen and the build is underway. The client has a private staging link that updates every day, so nothing about the finished site will be a surprise on launch day. Pages are custom-built in HTML and CSS, the same way as every other build here, and checked on real phones as they go rather than only in a browser window.
What happens next
Once the copy and photography are signed off, I point the domain at the new site, walk every page on real devices, and hand over the keys. Hosting, daily backups, and uptime monitoring start the same day. This page then gets rewritten with the launch date and a link out to the live site.
A note on timing
There’s no public URL yet, on purpose. A staging build is a work in progress, and putting one in front of search engines before the client has approved it helps nobody. Check back, or get in touch if you want to see what a build of your own would look like at this stage.
